Starting this holiday season off strong! Lots of work done on A Voyage North, but more excitingly, Wrath of The Raven God has received a massive engine overhaul! This has given the game some much needed optimization and rendering features.
Other advantages of this engine upgrade are the new in-house terrain generation engine, which is significantly more powerful than our previous version. Locations can now be instanced within the same chunk, meaning we can have a small caravan camp stationed 500 meters from a tavern, villages with military forts nearby, etc. We are still behind in the 3D art department however, so there is not much to visually showcase there.
In the following months I hope to demonstrate a video demo of a traditional dungeon crawler quest line which has the player travel through a city before entering the sewers to stop a lurking evil. In the meantime, we are polishing and working hard on combat systems!
